As you can see, I own a lot of watercolor palettes!! Can’t take them all; bigger ones must stay home.

Lumix G1 Honda Wollensak 135mm DIY Tilt/Shift (aka “Snuffleupagus”)

The lens on my Lumix G1 is a homemade tilt/shift bellows lens made from milled aircraft aluminum, a bellows from a Honda motorcycle shock tower, and a Wollensak 135mm enlarger lens. The rod at the bottom of the lens is actually a clutch cable threaded through a rubber sleeve to provide some strength to the bellows (so it doesn’t flop over when walking with it). The enlarger lens can be swapped out for other elements and the rear mount is actually an M42 thread mated to a Nikon F mount. The entire lens was engineered and built by my father based on some loose ideas a sketches from me.

I’ve blogged about it at http://ift.tt/1oiq1Z5
