DIY gridspot

A shot of the gridspot inside a cardboard snoot made to fit my sb-25/26 strobes.

Sort of a strobist right of passage – the DIY gridspot. Made with black straws cut to about 1 1/2 inches long. I used double stick tape between each row of straws. Wrapped the whole thing with black duct tape.

Strobist info: bare sb-26 handheld camera left at 1/4 power. Triggered with cactus v2s.
