NEW Beach Park Layout: Making Of (4 of 6)

A look at the creation of the NEW beach park section of the diorama layout.
This detached section measures about 12′ long X 34" wide and consists of 3 sheets of MDF on a plastic shelf base.
More vegetation, sand, and trees have been added, the beach patrol tower has been put in place in the corner, and sanded grout has been added on joints and edges.
This isn’t a start to finish "how-to" tutorial on diorama making (I’m certainly no expert) but it does give a good idea of how I do it.

I always wondered how stone spheres are made, so this is a series of 4 demonstration photos I took at the Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum in Phoenix last week. The second image of these four shows a diagram of a grinding and polishing machine.
